The following sections provide information about some of the more common procedures Dr. Fuerst performs.
Refractive surgery generally refers to procedures performed on individuals whose eyes are healthy and who desire to decrease dependence on corrective eyeware (glasses or contact lenses). While corneal transplant surgery and cataract surgery are usually not considered to be part of refractive surgery, these procedures also effect the need for glasses. Dr. Fuerst considers the refractive needs of each patient and recommends specific procedures to achieve the best refractive result.
An examination and discussion of each patient's needs is required to decide if surgery is indicated and which procedure(s) are recommended.
Please contact us for further information about these procedures.
